Wild Strawberries (Ingmar Bergman – 1957) B+
The contrast bewteen the professor’s cold current existence and ‘what could have been’ had he taken a different path in his life is remarkable. His recollections and flashback scenes are told almost like a comedy as opposed to the bleakness and nightmare-ridden current story line. All very well made and told, but this is certainly not my favorite of Bergman’s films.
